Rule 48
Transferring Officer
: The authority to transfer police personnel shall be given to the following officers :- (a) Additional Inspector General of Police by the Government of Nepal,
(b) the Home Minister to the Senior Superintendent of Police and the Deputy Inspector General of Police,
(c) Police officers from the Inspector General of Police to the Superintendent of Police shall be appointed by the Inspector General of Police and the Deputy Inspector General of Police up to the Inspector of Police within his area,
(d) Senior Deputy Inspectors of Police and Deputy Inspectors of Police by the Deputy Inspector General of Police or the Senior Superintendent of Police within their area,
(e) Police officers from police office assistants to police assistant inspectors by the superintendent of police or the head of the district police office within their area.
